@ The Rectory : A new walkway

This past Saturday, some good work was done at the Rectory: an old walkway through the orchard, which had been covered over by years of weeds and dirt, was dug out, lined with black plastic, and filled with new gravel. Kirk and I have been planning and hoping to do this for some time, in our efforts to restore the orchard. But we knew it would be a lot of work. Thanks to five volunteers, and a digger and a tractor, the work was accomplished on this one day.

I'll post pictures, for they show the work better than I can describe it. The pictures start with an image of what it looked like two years ago, when the path was invisible. The rest of the photos progress through the work from this Saturday.

Many thanks to Derrick, Brian, Allan, Christy, and Thomas for all the hard work. And thanks to God for a beautiful day.
