The launch of the book 'Adare: The Augustinian Friary & St. Nicholas Church' will be held at St. Nicholas, beginning in the church itself and ending with refreshments in the old refectory, the former dining hall for the friars when it was founded in mediaeval times. 

The book is by church member and history enthusiast Barbara Bingham. Her book will be officially launched by Fr. John Hennebry, OSA, the Provincial leader of the Augustinians in Ireland. Also speaking are the author herself and David Humphreys, a conservation architect and owner of ACP (Architectural Conservation Professionals). 

The book itself costs €20 and will be available for sale. A portion of the proceeds for all books sold at the launch will go to St. Nicholas Church.
